Diving too deep into the structure of MyHouse would spoil some of its more beautiful surprises. What can be said is that, in many ways, MyHouse rewards the perpetuallyonline. It hits upon all the great touchstones of internet horror, from more recent liminal-space-horror like the backrooms, to the great, early 2000’s hipster college roommate bible House Of Leaves. But by the end, MyHouse’s horror is of its own — a terrifying, personal horror that culminates in one of the great action-horror climaxes in any game. And it does it by reimagining a touchstone in gaming.

Once you see it through the window in Regular House 1, you can actually clip outside through the window and grab it. Then, when you go back into the house, you'll still be in the Regular House 1, and you'll see yet another Soulsphere outside the window -- it respawns. If you do this multiple times, it continues to respawn, and the item count goes up by one. That said, cheats seem to be an intended part of the experience of playing this map, so if you go outside and get the Soulsphere this way, I think that's probably "legit," and you can call it an unmarked secret. If you go through the exit in the mirror world you go to a mirrored version of Underhalls. I played through but haven't yet found anything important. I replayed through the house again starting from the mirror world and grabbed the christmas ornament and the baby bottle from the attic.
This staircase can be accessed in a few different ways throughout the map, including falling into the black void around the Brutalist House, falling into the cloud sky in the Bathhouse, or escaping the Backrooms. The house is rectangular in shape, with four connected wings looking in on an enclosed central courtyard. MyHouse.wad is a surreal, enthralling narrative, and my first encounter with it took place via a feature-length long video essay that gnawed its way through my entire afternoon.
